Wally Lamb, I Know This Much Is True
#i love how this episode highlighted how NOT FINE emma and killian are when they’re apart#like on the one hand#you have emma being pushed by her parents to get back with neal#meanwhile she’s super worried about her son and how he’s acting#and of course no one believes her#and emma knows that if this were neverland and hook was around that he would believe her#but he’s not around#and that hurts#on the other hand killian#seeing emma with her family and fitting back into her home in storybrooke is hard for him#it reminds him that he’s an outsider and he doesn’t belong#also he tells neal that he’s backing off pursuing emma to give henry a chance at a family#something he feels responsible for taking away from neal when he was a boy#so he backs off and drinks all night to try to forget the empty feeling in the pit of his stomach#the pain of knowing that he might not get his happy ending with the women he loves#he even (unsuccessfully) attempts to hit on tink because he wants to forget about his feelings for emma#at least for a little while#but he’s fooling no one#especially not tink#i just cry because in an episode like this that highlights love and family so much#killian and emma are both pretty damn miserable#because they aren’t together#*insert not so subtle reference here to 3x03 where tink tells regina that when true love’s aren’t together*#their lives suck
neck kissing is honestly the hottest, most seductive thing anybody could ever do to me. if you kiss my neck, if you playfully bite my neck, if your tongue touches my neck i will melt in your fingertips.
